After almost 50 years of Ben Dronkers collecting artefacts from cannabis culture, the collection of the Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum has risen to over 9,000 items. From cultivation to consumption, from ancient ritual to modern medicine, every aspect of cannabis in global society is represented in some way.
During your visit to the museums in Amsterdam and Barcelona you can, see: unique old master paintings by contemporaries of Rembrandt; antique hemp tools; botanical prints; photos of hash making in various cultures; pipes from all over the world; 19th century medicinal cannabis bottles; ancient and modern hemp textiles; pop culture paraphernalia; bioplastic made of hemp fibre; and much more. Prepare to be staggered by the enormous scope of the collection.
The unique status of the museum as a treasure-house of information has led to generous loans and donations from researchers and cannabis aficionados from all over the world.
