Noh

Noh masks are used in Japanese theatre, festivals and rituals and are traditionally made of hinoki cypress wood. This particular noh mask is made of hemp fibre and finished with typical Japanese lacquer work. The artist, Hidekazu Kimoto, has set himself to reviving this ancient practice, while using one of the most eco-friendly materials in the world.

Many of the images on the Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum website are available for reproduction. Please contact us for more information.
