Stoned Agin

The six strips of Stoned Agin, drawn by Robert Crumb in 1971, depict the various stages that a stoner goes through when consuming marijuana, with a pipe in the case of this drawing; from being high to inner nirvana. In November 2019, the original artwork of Stoned Agin was auctioned in Dallas for approximately €485,000 ($575,000), a record for the underground comic artist. The artwork was sold within seven minutes. The bids were divided between marijuana millionaires and cannabis entrepreneurs, who pushed the price well above the estimate, trying to obtain a unique piece that had never been for sale in the art market.

Many of the images on the Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum website are available for reproduction. Please contact us for more information.
